MINNESOTA — Cameron Chung has been named the 2026 Gerber Baby after winning Gerber’s annual Photo Search contest. His winning photograph captured his first intentional smile following a winter family walk in Minnesota.
The image that won the contest came after a difficult early period for Cameron’s family. They navigated colic and a challenging postpartum experience before that moment of joy. "Navigating a colicky newborn and a challenging postpartum experience was incredibly tough, a reality we know so many mothers and parents quietly share," said Rachael Olsen, Cameron’s mother. "But seeing Cameron’s first true smile break through on that cold Minnesota day was pure magic."
As the 2026 Gerber Baby, Cameron will appear in the company’s marketing campaigns and on its social media channels throughout the year. His family will also receive a $50,000 prize and a Gerber Childrenswear wardrobe package valued at $2,000.
Oscar Benítez, Gerber President, said the selection reflects the company’s effort to highlight the realities of parenting. "As a trusted leader in childhood nutrition for nearly 100 years, Gerber has supported and celebrated generations of families throughout their parenting journey," he said. "This year, by shining a light on the parents behind the baby, we set out to honor the unglamorous yet profoundly beautiful work of raising a family. Cameron’s story brings that to life, reminding us that even in the real, imperfect moments, a baby’s pure joy is the ultimate reward."
Cameron is approaching his first birthday. The Gerber Baby tradition dates back nearly a century and remains one of the company’s most recognizable campaigns.
No independent assessment of Cameron Chung’s claims was available.
