TIPP CITY — Caleb Flynn appeared in court on Thursday in person for the first time for his bond hearing. Judge Stacy Wall ordered Flynn's bond at $3.5 million.

A grand jury indicted Flynn on counts of aggravated murder, assault, tampering with evidence, and intimidation. Flynn's pretrial is scheduled for March 30 at 9 a.m.

Flynn was arrested on February 19 in connection with the death of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Investigators found Ashley Flynn dead on February 16 at her home on Cunningham Court in Tipp City. Investigators said that only Ashley Flynn, her husband, and their children were inside the home when she was shot.

If convicted, Flynn faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Patrick Mulligan, Flynn's defense attorney, addressed the bond amount during the hearing. "This is his first time in a court case. I suggest that a reasonable bond be set in light of the fact that we have entered a not guilty plea," Mulligan said.

Judge Wall outlined the conditions of Flynn's bond. "Let the court explain, no contact means no contact. It means in person, texting, email, third party, your lawyer, or anyone. You cannot have contact with the victim or representative of the minor children in this case," Wall said.

Flynn wiped his eyes before being escorted back to Miami County Jail. The bond hearing took place in Tipp City court, where Flynn made his first in-person court appearance since his arrest. The aggravated murder charge stems from the February 16 death of Ashley Flynn at the family home.
