DONEGAL — The 2026 Donegal International Rally will take place on tarmac roads in Donegal from June 19 to June 21. The event will serve as the fifth round of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship and feature a field of international and domestic competitors.

Kris Meeke will compete in the rally, driving a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 with co-driver Eoin Regan. The five-time World Rally Championship winner has been competing regularly in the Portuguese Rally Championship since his last WRC season in 2019. His appearance in Donegal will mark his first in the event in 18 years.

Josh McErlean will drive a M-Sport prepared Ford Fiesta Rally2 in the rally, which falls between his World Rally Championship rounds in Japan and Greece. "When you get the chance to do Donegal, the answer is yes; then you figure out what you need to do to make it happen," said Josh McErlean. "The competition in Ireland is always incredibly strong, and Donegal is no different. The entry list is always packed with quality, and you know there are so many crews capable of fighting at the front," he said. "Of course, there will naturally be some expectation around us going into the event, but honestly, I just want to enjoy the experience, the rally, the fans and being back competing on home soil again." He added, "It will also be really nice to showcase the Fiesta Rally2 at the event and thank you to M-Sport for the opportunity."

Callum Devine will attempt to secure an unprecedented fourth consecutive victory in the Donegal International Rally, driving a Skoda Fabia with co-driver Noel O'Sullivan. Other notable entries include reigning British Rally champion William Creighton, who will compete in a Lancia Rally2 as part of the European Rally Championship, and Irish Tarmac Rally Championship leader Josh Moffett. Additional competitors include European Rally Championship driver Philip Allen, Welsh driver Meirion Evans, and Isle of Man TT record holder Michael Dunlop, who is entered in the historic class driving a Ford Escort MKII.
