INDEPENDENCE HEIGHTS — Therm All Insulation Inc. is facing criminal charges for allegedly illegally dumping hundreds of pounds of commercial waste in Independence Heights, Houston. The company’s manager was charged with directing employees to dump the waste illegally.
Employees of Therm All Insulation Inc. were caught on camera dumping debris just feet from a nearby building, with a lookout posted during the act. Investigators identified the workers using one of hundreds of cameras installed across the city.
"Someone on the scooter on the lookout for the dumping — they’ve done this before," Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen said. "It was choreographed. Certainly not the first time," he added.
Rosen noted there is a legal dump site about a mile away from the illegal dumping location. "Particularly concerning because this is a national company. I am sure they can afford to properly dispose of it," he said.
Therm All Insulation Inc. and its manager could face up to two years in prison and fines if convicted.
