FRISCO — Universal Kids Resort will officially open in Frisco on July 1. The 20-acre park is Universal Destinations & Experiences’ first-ever regional theme park specifically designed for children.

Tickets, on-site hotel packages, and the park’s first annual pass option went on sale on the Thursday before the article publication date. Available ticket options include 1-day and 2-day general admission passes and the Universal Kids Resort Silver Annual Pass, which provides 12 months of access with blockout dates. Visitors can also purchase a 'create your own' package that bundles hotel accommodations, flights, and ticket options—including a '1.5-Day' admission ticket—with perks such as early park admission and resort-wide charging privileges.

The resort features seven themed lands: DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp, Jurassic World Adventure Camp, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club, DreamWorks’ TrollsFest, DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar, and The Isle of Curiosity featuring DreamWorks' Gabby's Dollhouse. DreamWorks TrollsFest will include rollercoasters, character performances, rides with views of the resort, and makeovers. DreamWorks Shrek’s Swamp, designed as a play space for Shrek and Fiona’s triplets, includes two swamp play areas—one dry and one with water—and opportunities to meet Shrek.

The Universal Kids Resort Hotel, located at the park entrance, has 300 rooms, including standard and deluxe queen rooms that sleep up to five guests and family suites for up to six. Amenities include an outdoor pool and dining options. Officials say the resort is designed as a regional destination where 'kids and their grown-ups can imagine, relax and create unforgettable memories together.'
