MASSACHUSETTS — Senator Elizabeth Warren endorsed six Democratic Senate primary candidates across multiple states on March 18 and 19, 2026. Warren endorsed state Sen. Zach Wahls in Iowa on March 19, oyster farmer and military veteran Graham Platner in Maine on March 19, state Sen. Mallory McMorrow in Michigan on March 18, Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan in Minnesota, Sen. Ed Markey in Massachusetts, and Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton in Illinois.

"The best way to make big, structural changes to lower cost and root out corruption in Washington is to elect more fighters to the U.S. Senate," Warren said. "These candidates are inspiring people with authentic, grassroots-powered campaigns and they are leaders ready to fight on behalf of working families getting squeezed by a rigged system."

Warren's preferred candidates typically support populist policies, criticize billionaires and corporations, and reject contributions from corporate PACs. She uses her grassroots fundraising list to help raise funds for candidates she endorses.

In Iowa, Warren's endorsement of Wahls put her at odds with other senators backing his primary opponent. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada and Sen. Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire endorsed state Rep. Josh Turek in the Iowa Democratic Senate primary. "Neither Senator Warren or I have ever shied away from a tough fight, and it's exactly why I'm so happy to have her in my corner," Wahls said.

In Maine, she backed Platner despite party establishment support for Gov. Janet Mills. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee are backing Mills in the Maine Democratic primary against Sen. Susan Collins. Sen. Bernie Sanders also endorsed Platner in the Maine Democratic Senate primary.

Gov. Janet Mills released a television ad highlighting 2013 social media posts in which Platner downplayed sexual assault. "He has apologized for that and he's out there talking to the people of Maine every single day," she said.

Stratton won the Democratic nomination in the Illinois Senate primary on March 17, 2026. Warren campaigned with Stratton in Illinois last week and appeared in social media videos with her. In a social media video, Stratton showed Warren her "persist" tattoo, referencing Warren's 2017 Senate floor moment opposing Jeff Sessions' nomination for attorney general.

Campaign officials reported fundraising increases following Warren's endorsements. A Mallory McMorrow campaign official said that after Warren's endorsement, McMorrow's campaign had one of its five best digital fundraising days. Campaign officials for Peggy Flanagan's and Juliana Stratton's Senate campaigns said Warren's endorsement resulted in fundraising bumps.
