AUSTIN — Quarterback Ty Snell of Allen High School will attend the Texas Elite Camp in Austin on May 31, 2026. The event will feature high school players in grades 9 through 12 who perform at a high level, and Snell is expected to be evaluated by Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff.

Snell, a member of the 2029 recruiting class, has already accumulated scholarship offers from 12 programs: Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia, Houston, Kansas State, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas Tech, and UCLA. As of May 2026, the University of Texas has not extended a scholarship offer to him.

Snell announced his attendance on social media, posting on Twitter on May 26, 2026, that he would be at Texas Football on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The Texas Elite Camp includes positional instruction and one-on-one competitions, providing prospects an opportunity to demonstrate their skills directly to the Longhorns’ coaching staff.

During his freshman season at Allen High School in 2025, Snell completed 67 of 98 passes for 1,030 yards, throwing 10 touchdowns with three interceptions. He also contributed on the ground, recording 17 carries for 161 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Despite his early scholarship offers and on-field production, Snell is not ranked in national recruiting rankings as of May 2026. His performance at the Texas Elite Camp in 2026 could influence whether the Longhorns decide to extend an offer or how other programs continue to assess his potential as a 2029 recruit.

The camp serves as a key evaluation opportunity for underclassmen like Snell, who are three years away from enrolling in college. Texas has not yet offered Snell, but his presence at the camp places him among prospects being monitored by the Longhorns’ staff ahead of future recruiting cycles.
