CHARLOTTE — Parris Campbell retired from the NFL at age 28, with the Dallas Cowboys placing him on the reserve/retired list on May 27, 2026. His departure creates two open spots on the Cowboys’ 90-man roster.

Campbell had signed a reserve/futures contract with the Cowboys in January 2026, following a 2025 season in which he spent most of his time on the team’s practice squad after sustaining a knee injury in August. He made a brief appearance in the Cowboys’ 2025 game against the Carolina Panthers, logging two offensive snaps and a few special teams plays.

Campbell’s NFL career began when the Indianapolis Colts selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. His rookie season was limited to seven games due to multiple unrelated injuries. He played in only two games in 2020 and six in 2021. His most productive season came in 2022, when he appeared in all 17 games for the Colts—starting 16—and recorded 63 receptions for 623 yards and three touchdowns. Over his four-year tenure with Indianapolis, he accumulated 983 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

In 2023, Campbell signed with the New York Giants. He joined the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad in 2024 and was activated for five regular-season games, recording six receptions. He also participated in the Eagles’ postseason run and won a Super Bowl title during the 2024 season.

Campbell’s career totals across seven NFL seasons stand at 123 receptions for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns. He will turn 29 in less than two months from May 2026.
