CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA — Stanford and USC advanced to the 2026 NCAA Women's Golf Championship match after winning their semifinal matches in Carlsbad, California. Stanford defeated Eastern Michigan 5–0, while USC beat Arkansas to secure their spots in the final.

The championship match will be held at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, with tee times scheduled between 5:25 p.m. and 6:05 p.m. ET on May 27, 2026. Golf Channel will broadcast the event from 6–10 p.m. ET that evening.

Stanford and USC are the top-two seeds and top-ranked teams in the NCAA. Stanford finished as the top qualifier in medal play at 22-under par, and USC placed second at 9-under par. Eight teams advanced to match play following the conclusion of stroke play.

This will be only the second time in the match-play era that the top-two seeds face each other in the national championship match. Stanford will be competing for its third NCAA title in the last five years, having previously won in 2022 and 2024. USC last won the NCAA women’s golf championship in 2013 and lost to Wake Forest in the 2023 final.

“They have so many good players,” Stanford coach Anne Walker said. “I am certain it will go down to the wire. I can’t tell you who will come out on top, but I know we’ll be fighting.”

Megha Ganne of Stanford said the team approached match play wanting to go 15-0 across all three rounds. “When you go in with that kind of assertiveness, it just brings a different kind of focus,” she said.
