TUSCALOOSA — Alabama basketball has finalized key components of its 2026-27 roster through a combination of player returns, transfers, and eligibility decisions. The program confirmed multiple departures and additions as it prepares for the upcoming season under head coach Nate Oats.

London Jemison and Keitenn Bristow have both announced their returns to the team for the 2026-27 season. Amari Allen also confirmed on social media that he will return for his sophomore year after averaging 11.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game as a freshman. Their decisions bolster the core of a roster undergoing transition.

Several players have concluded their collegiate eligibility. Latrell Wrightsell Jr., Houston Mallette, and transfer Noah Williamson—all of whom joined Alabama from Bucknell—are no longer eligible and will pursue professional opportunities. Their departures mark the end of their college careers.

Alabama has also navigated the transfer portal with notable activity. Four players entered the portal to explore opportunities elsewhere, while the program simultaneously secured commitments from four new transfers. This incoming group has been ranked as the nation’s No. 7 overall transfer class, strengthening the team’s depth ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Uncertainty remains around a few key roster spots. Collins Onyejiaka’s future with the program is unclear due to a heart condition that may impact his ability to continue playing. Aden Holloway’s status is pending the legal outcome of a drug arrest, leaving his availability for next season unresolved. Additionally, Labaron Philon Jr. has a pending NBA Draft decision that will directly affect Alabama’s backcourt composition.

Assistant coach Preston Murphy said in a podcast interview that he continues to support the program through this period of roster recalibration. The team’s 2026-27 outlook hinges on resolving the outstanding eligibility, legal, and draft-related questions while integrating new transfers into its system.
