AUSTIN — KVUE will stream live coverage of the Texas primary runoff elections on Tuesday, May 26, starting at 8 p.m. on KVUE+. Polls opened on May 26 for the statewide primary runoff elections.

The station will provide live election results and analysis throughout the night as polls close and totals come in from Central Texas and around the state. The broadcast will include outcomes from a range of contested races on the runoff ballot.

Among the most prominent contests is the Republican runoff for U.S. Senate between Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent U.S. Senator John Cornyn. The winner will face Democratic State Representative James Talarico in the November general election.

The Texas attorney general seat is open because current Attorney General Ken Paxton is running for U.S. Senate. In the Republican primary runoff for that office, Congressman Chip Roy is facing State Senator Mayes Middleton. Democratic voters will choose between State Senator Nathan Johnson and former Galveston mayor Joe Jaworski in their party’s attorney general runoff.

Democratic voters are also selecting a nominee to challenge incumbent Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick in November, with State Representative Vikki Goodwin and Marcos Isais Velez competing in the runoff. A few U.S. House races, a Texas House race, and several local races are also on the May 26 primary runoff ballot.
