MILWAUKEE — Jacob Misiorowski matched his career high with 12 strikeouts and threw 57 pitches of at least 100 mph as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 5-1 on May 25, 2026. Misiorowski carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning and allowed one run on two hits over seven innings. He walked JJ Wetherholt to begin the game before settling into a dominant rhythm.

Misiorowski’s 57 pitches at 100 mph or faster set a single-game record since pitch tracking began in 2008, surpassing the previous mark of 47 set by Cincinnati’s Hunter Greene against St. Louis on September 17, 2022. His top velocity reached 103.4 mph during the outing.

The Cardinals broke up Misiorowski’s no-hit bid in the sixth inning when Pedro Pagés led off with a bloop single. St. Louis scored its lone run later in the inning, ending Misiorowski’s streak of 29 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings. The Brewers’ franchise record for consecutive scoreless innings belongs to Teddy Higuera, who posted 32 straight frames in 1987.

Milwaukee built an early lead with three runs in the first inning off Cardinals starter Matthew Liberatore, who entered the game with a 1.26 ERA in four career starts against the Brewers. Jackson Chourio drew a leadoff walk, stole second, and scored on a single to left by William Contreras. Christian Yelich followed with a 381-foot opposite-field home run to left-center on a 2-2 pitch, driving in two runs.

Liberatore recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts in five innings but took the loss. The Brewers added single runs in the seventh and eighth innings against Brycen Mautz, who was making his major league debut. Andrew Vaughn went 3 for 4 on the day, including an RBI double in the seventh, and Garrett Mitchell contributed an RBI single in the sixth.

With the victory, the Brewers extended their lead in the National League Central to 2 1/2 games over the Cardinals. Misiorowski’s ERA improved to 1.83 following the performance.
