SAN ANTONIO — A Victor Wembanyama 1-of-1 2023-24 Panini Prizm Black parallel card sold for $5.11 million in a private sale via Fanatics Collect in 2026. Fanatics confirmed the sale to ESPN.

The $5.11 million transaction is the highest price ever paid for a Victor Wembanyama card. It also ranks as the fourth-highest known price ever paid for a basketball card and the 11th-highest for any sports card. The sale is the third sports card to fetch $5 million or more in 2026. The card is the most expensive known sale of a non-autographed NBA card.

The previous record for a Wembanyama card was $860,100, set in a February 2025 Goldin auction for a different 1-of-1 parallel from the same 2023-24 Panini Prizm set.

Wembanyama, 22, is a 7-foot-4 French center who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. He won the NBA’s first-ever unanimous Defensive Player of the Year award and earned his first career All-NBA First Team and All-Defensive First Team selections.

In the 2025-26 NBA season, Wembanyama led the San Antonio Spurs to a 62-20 regular-season record, second only to the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 64-18 mark. The Spurs reached the playoffs for the first time since the 2018-19 season. As of May 27, 2026, San Antonio and Oklahoma City were tied 2-2 in the Western Conference Finals.

Through the first four games of the series, Wembanyama averaged 30.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 3.0 blocks, and 1.3 steals. He shot 52.6% from the field during that span.
