NEW YORK CITY — Tyler Adams has been named in the United States squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The official 26-man roster was revealed at a live event in New York City.

Adams plays for English Premier League club Bournemouth and recorded two goals and two assists in 25 league appearances during the 2025–26 season after returning from injury. He is one of five players from English clubs selected for the U.S. squad, alongside Antonee Robinson, Brenden Aaronson, Chris Richards, and Haji Wright.

The United States will open its Group D campaign against Paraguay on 13 June. The group also includes Australia and Turkey. The U.S. men's national team played final preparation friendlies against Germany and Senegal ahead of the tournament.

Adams and Robinson have each earned 52 caps for the United States national team. Mauricio Pochettino serves as head coach of the U.S. men's national soccer team.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament will feature 48 teams and 104 matches played over 39 days. The U.S. World Cup squad was leaked three days before its official announcement.

The U.S. roster includes players from leagues in England, Italy, Germany, and Major League Soccer. The team will train in Colorado Springs beginning 27 May before departing for Toronto, where it will be based during the group stage. U.S. Soccer confirmed that all 26 players passed medical evaluations prior to selection.

The tournament’s expanded format marks the first World Cup to include 48 teams. The United States automatically qualified as a host nation. Matches will be held across 16 cities in the three host countries, with the final scheduled for MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
