OMAHA — The Oregon Ducks will face the Washington Huskies in a Big Ten Tournament elimination game on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. PT in Omaha. The contest will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Oregon, the No. 3 seed, advanced after winning a 14-inning game that ended on a walk-off bunt. Washington entered the tournament as the No. 11 seed after finishing the regular season 24-31 and placing 11th in the Big Ten Conference.

The Huskies defeated No. 6 seed Ohio State 8-6 on Tuesday and beat No. 7 seed Michigan 7-1 on Wednesday, improving to 25-31 overall.

Jackson Thomas pitched six innings against Michigan, allowing one run on eight hits with two walks and nine strikeouts to earn his third win of the season. "I feel like I definitely stayed out of the middle of the zone and hit the corners and my spots," Thomas told the Big Ten Network after the win. Blake Wilson hit a two-run home run in the second inning against Michigan as part of a 2-for-5 performance. Jackson Hotchkiss added his 20th home run of the 2026 season in the eighth inning, a two-run blast.

Oregon and Washington met in a three-game series in Seattle earlier in May 2026, with Oregon winning two of three. In the first two games of that series, Washington led early but lost both after Oregon scored against the Huskies' bullpen in later innings. Washington won the third game 9-5, scoring seven runs in the sixth inning and holding off an Oregon rally.

Will Sanford is likely to start for Oregon on Friday. In his previous start against Washington this season, Sanford pitched 3⅓ innings, allowed four runs, and walked five batters.

Washington has a 12-17 combined record in road and neutral-site games during the 2026 season. Oregon has a 15-10 record in games played away from PK Park.

Oregon scored more than six runs in only one game across its recent series against USC and UCLA. Oregon is eligible to host an NCAA regional, and a strong showing in the Big Ten Tournament would factor into its positioning ahead of Selection Monday.
