BUDAPEST — Paris Saint-Germain will face Arsenal in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League final in Budapest in six days. The reigning European champions enter the match without the possibility of a treble after being eliminated by Paris FC in the Coupe de France.

Right-back Achraf Hakimi is not expected to be fit in time for the final, according to French outlet L'Equipe. Hakimi continues to suffer from the thigh injury he picked up at the end of the semi-final first leg at home to Bayern Munich, the outlet reported, though he could be fit for the bench in Budapest. In the event Hakimi is unavailable to start, Warren Zaire-Emery may play at right-back, and Fabian Ruiz may line up in midfield alongside Joao Neves and Vitinha, according to L'Equipe.

That configuration was deployed in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich. Zaire-Emery played at right-back in that match and was beaten by Luis Diaz on a couple of occasions. Ruiz operated in midfield, linking up with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the left and helping Nuno Mendes against Michael Olise.

PSG are also optimistic that Ousmane Dembele will be back for the final. Dembele plays as a goal-scoring threat and as a creative outlet, dropping deep to link play and pressing opponents when out of possession.

PSG won the UEFA Champions League in the previous season, making them the reigning European champions heading into the Budapest final. The club's elimination by Paris FC in the Coupe de France means they cannot win a treble in the current campaign.
