LOS ANGELES — UCLA redshirt freshman Aleena Garcia hit two three-run home runs and drove in seven runs to lead the Bruins to a 14-4 victory over Central Florida on May 23, 2026, at Easton Stadium in Los Angeles. The win clinched a berth in the Women's College World Series and set a UCLA postseason RBI record.

The victory completed a two-game sweep of the best-of-three Super Regional series, which UCLA won by a combined score of 23-5. It marked the program's 34th Women's College World Series appearance and third consecutive trip to Oklahoma City.

After Central Florida cut UCLA's lead to 6-4 in the fifth inning, Garcia answered with her second three-run home run of the game in the sixth. Bri Alejandre and Alexis Ramirez also homered for the Bruins, who hit seven home runs across the two Super Regional games to extend their NCAA single-season home run record.

"I knew we had a lot of home runs, but I didn't know it was 200. This team, we do set a lot of records, but that's not our main goal — we just focus on the process and what it takes to set those records and then the records just set themselves," Garcia said after the game.

The Bruins' 200 home runs this season set an NCAA single-season record, and their 651 runs broke the previous NCAA mark of 638, set by Oklahoma in 2021. UCLA posted a .385 batting average, a .496 on-base percentage and an .836 slugging percentage on the year, and hit .360 with a .535 on-base percentage during the Super Regional. Central Florida pitchers walked slugger Megan Grant six times in her seven plate appearances during the two games. Central Florida coach Cindy Ball-Malone said, "What a dynamic lineup."

"Hitters are individuals — it's an individual opportunity — but this team plays as a unit, and it starts from the top — the coaches down to the players, they buy into team over self," UCLA coach Kelly Inouye-Perez said.

Taylor Tinsley threw every pitch for UCLA in the two Super Regional games and recorded 11 strikeouts on Saturday, a career postseason high. She improved to 32-6 on the season and has won each of her last four NCAA Tournament games.

UCLA's record stood at 52-8 after the win. The Bruins, seeded eighth, will face top-seeded Alabama in their World Series opener in Oklahoma City, with the date and time to be announced. Central Florida finished its season at 41-19-1.
