ROME — Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri will start veteran forward Pedro on the left wing in the club's final Serie A match of the season on Saturday at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, marking the player's last professional appearance before retirement. Kickoff against Pisa is set for 20:45 CET.

Pedro has announced his retirement from professional football, and the home fixture against the relegated visitors will close out his career. Lazio sit in ninth place in the league table and cannot improve their position, though a positive result would confirm a finish above Udinese and Sassuolo in the standings. The stands are expected to be largely empty due to a fan protest against Lazio president Claudio Lotito.

Lazio are expected to line up in a 4-3-3 formation. Alessio Furlanetto will make his second consecutive start in goal due to injuries to Ivan Provedel and Edoardo Motta. The back four will feature Radenko Marusic, Alessio Romagnoli, Oliver Provstgaard and Luca Pellegrini. Provstgaard comes in for Mario Gila, who is unavailable due to fitness issues, while Pellegrini replaces the suspended Nuno Tavares at left-back.

In midfield, Patric returned from a physical problem and will play as a makeshift regista between Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Toma Basic. Kenneth Taylor and Nicolo Rovella will each serve a one-match ban.

In attack, Tijjani Noslin will lead the forward line, with Boulaye Dia on the bench. Matteo Cancellieri is expected to play on the right wing in place of Gustav Isaksen, with Pedro on the opposite flank. Sarri is close to reaching an agreement to become Atalanta's head coach at the end of the season, according to reports.
