Slot wants a one-vs-one winger, and Issahaku fits that profile as a left-footed right-winger who averaged over nine dribbles per game this season for club and country. He completed 52% of his dribble attempts across the campaign.

Liverpool's interest in the player dates back to his performances at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations, where he caught the eye of scouts. The club was interested in signing him after that tournament but did not complete a transfer at that time.

Issahaku moved to Leicester after first relocating to Europe. His output during a difficult season for the club placed him among the more productive attacking players on a side that ultimately dropped out of the Premier League.

The dribbling numbers position him as a direct attacker suited to one-vs-one situations, the profile Slot has identified as a priority for Liverpool's squad. Issahaku averaged more than nine dribbles per game across club and country appearances and completed just over half of those attempts. At 22, he would arrive at any new club with top-flight experience and a record of performing at international youth level.
