Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion outlined his plans for the team's offensive scheme at a press conference in Philadelphia on May 21, 2026. Mannion said the system would blend his own beliefs, his schematic background, and elements the Eagles have run well in previous seasons.

The Eagles hired Mannion as offensive coordinator after the 2025 season, in which the team did not produce a strong offensive performance. He arrived with two years of NFL coaching experience, both spent under head coach Matt LaFleur with the Green Bay Packers.

He said the offense would not be built from a single template but shaped around the personnel on the roster. "But, ultimately, it's going to be a blend. t's constantly going to evolve and it's all with that exact goal in mind. It's about maximizing things for the players," he said.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts will be central to the offense Mannion develops. He said he intended to incorporate the concepts and elements Hurts is most comfortable with in order to build a system that gives the quarterback room to thrive.

Mannion spent both of his NFL coaching seasons in Green Bay before joining Philadelphia. His background under LaFleur, an offensive-minded head coach, informed the schematic principles he described at the press conference. The Eagles' offense struggled in 2025, and Mannion said his approach will draw on what the team has already done successfully as well as his own experience to address that.
