KNOXVILLE — The Vol Network is searching for a new color analyst for its Tennessee football radio broadcasts after Ramon Foster left to join the Tennessee Titans radio team as a color analyst. Foster, a former Tennessee Volunteers player, spent one season in the Vol Network booth alongside Voice of the Vols Mike Keith.

Several figures with ties to the Tennessee program have prior experience on Vol Network broadcasts or in Knoxville sports media. Pat Ryan, 70, served as University of Tennessee color analyst alongside Bob Kesling from 2021 to 2024, taking over the role from Tim Priest after six years on the pregame show and 11 years on the Big Orange Hotline. Ryan was a quarterback at Tennessee from 1974 to 1977 and played in the NFL with the New York Jets from 1978 to 1989. He also served as the color analyst for the Tennessee Titans from 1999 to 2004 and was a broadcast partner of Keith during the Titans' 1999 season, including the Music City Miracle call.

Jayson Swain has spent five seasons on the Vol Network team. During the 2025 season, he provided analysis on the pregame show and co-hosted the halftime and postgame shows. Before the 2025 season, Swain worked as a sideline reporter for Tennessee football games. He was a Tennessee wide receiver from 2003 to 2006 and served as a team captain, then signed with the Chicago Bears in 2007 and began his broadcast career that year. Swain co-hosts the "Josh and Swain" show on a local sports radio station and has hosted the podcast "The Swain Event" since 2009.

Erik Ainge has held roles on the pregame and postgame shows on the Vol Network and has co-hosted The Erik Ainge Show with Brian Rice on a local sports radio station since 2017. Ainge was a quarterback for Tennessee from 2004 to 2007 and was selected in the 2007 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. He spent three seasons with the Jets before returning to Knoxville and starting his broadcast career.

Will Overstreet has appeared on the pregame show on the Vol Network, on local radio shows focused on Tennessee football, and as a regular guest on a local sports television show and digital network. Overstreet was a member of Tennessee's 1998 national title team, an All-SEC performer and a team captain. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 2002 and played two seasons. Overstreet founded and served as CEO of Knoxville-based Voices Heard Media, Inc.
