LOS ANGELES — Aubry Bracco won Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans on Wednesday night, defeating Jonathan Young and Joe Hunter in an 8-3-0 jury vote during a three-hour live grand finale broadcast before a studio audience in Los Angeles. The 38-year-old claimed a $2 million grand prize and was gifted a Toyota Land Cruiser.

The prize money was double the show's traditional $1 million payout, after YouTube star MrBeast introduced a twist that doubled the winner's purse. The finale was the show's first live reunion broadcast in a decade.

Bracco first competed on Survivor: Kaôh Rōng in 2016, where she lost the jury vote. The 50th season brought back 24 former castaways to compete, including Cirie Fields, Ozzy Lusth, Rick Devens, Mike White and Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick.

Tiffany Young and Rizo Velovic were eliminated in the final episode, placing fifth and fourth respectively. Before the final four fire-making segment aired on the East Coast, host Jeff Probst revealed that Velovic had lost the fire-making challenge, confirming him as the final jury member. Social media users reacted in real time to the slip while taped footage from Fiji was still airing. Probst did not acknowledge the on-air moment.

Velovic, 26, of Yonkers, New York, had also lost the fire-making challenge on Survivor 49, where he was beaten by Savannah Louie. He reached back-to-back finales, becoming one of a handful of players in franchise history to do so.

Young formed an alliance called "Honor & Integrity" and won an individual immunity challenge that allowed him to vote at both tribal councils after the game split into a double elimination. Hunter, who finished third in his previous appearance, won multiple immunity challenges this season and spoke during the season about the grief surrounding the loss of his sister, Joanna.

Fields received a $100,000 fan-favorite prize funded by pop star Sia and voted on by viewers. Probst also presented her with a "Spirit of Survivor" award at the finale.

Streaming viewership of Season 50 is up 45% compared with Season 49, with episodes averaging nearly 10 million viewers after 35 days of streaming availability. The season is the most-watched reality series of the 2025-26 television season and the No. 12 broadcast series overall. Across its 50 seasons, the show has been consumed for more than 700 billion minutes.

Season 51, titled "The Open Era," will debut this fall. "Anything that has ever happened at any time on the show can happen in any season at any time in any order without any warning," Probst said. "Season 51 has already been shot, and it's very fun," he added.
