INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA — Ronda Rousey defeated Gina Carano by armbar 17 seconds into their bout at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, in the first live mixed martial arts event broadcast on Netflix. The event attracted the most U.S. viewers in mixed martial arts history, peaking at 11.6 million viewers domestically and drawing as many as 17 million viewers worldwide.

The U.S. peak surpassed the previous MMA record of 8.8 million set in 2011 for UFC on FOX 1. The event recorded an average-minute audience of 12.4 million Live+1 viewers globally. In the U.S., the three fights of Rousey versus Carano, Mike Perry versus Nate Diaz, and Francis Ngannou versus Philipe Lins averaged 9.3 million viewers, with the peak coming during the Rousey-Carano contest.

The bout marked Rousey's return to a mixed martial arts cage for the first time in nearly a decade, and Carano's first fight in 17 years. Rousey has said the contest would be her final fight.

"If I hadn't tapped she would've broken my arm, as it had begun to crackle. The disappointment of losing like that is very humbling." Carano wrote on Instagram after the bout. She also wrote, "Now I feel like this is just the beginning. I can't wait to see where I can push my body to go next."

On the undercard, Perry defeated Diaz by doctor's stoppage after bloodying his opponent. Ngannou knocked out Lins in the first round. The event generated a gate of £1.64 million ($2.2 million) at the Inglewood venue.

The viewership figures placed the card below several recent combat sports events on the same platform. Jake Paul's December 2025 fight against Anthony Joshua attracted an average-minute audience of 33 million viewers, while Terence Crawford's September 2025 bout against Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez averaged 36.6 million viewers. The 2024 event featuring Paul against Mike Tyson drew an estimated average-minute audience of 108 million viewers.
