Google unveiled Antigravity 2.0 at Google I/O 2026, introducing an updated desktop application, a command-line interface tool, and a software development kit for building custom AI agent workflows. The company first launched Antigravity in 2025 as a response to agentic coding software such as Cursor.

The new desktop app lets users orchestrate multiple agents and execute tasks simultaneously. Users can design custom subagent workflows and schedule tasks to run automatically in the background. The application integrates projects with Google AI Studio, Android, and Firebase.

Antigravity 2.0 is powered by Google's new Gemini 3.5 Flash model, which was co-developed using Antigravity. Google is also adding native voice command support to the app, extending a feature the company has rolled out to consumer products including Gmail and Docs.

The new Antigravity CLI tool targets programmers who prefer to create agents from a terminal. Google is asking users of its existing Gemini CLI tool to migrate to the new Antigravity CLI.

The Antigravity SDK will allow developers to build custom agents, and Google Cloud customers will be able to connect to Antigravity to build projects. The company will release custom agent templates in AI Studio for enterprise users to get started, and is adding an Antigravity export tool to AI Studio that lets developers export existing projects for local continuation.

Google is also applying Antigravity's coding capabilities in consumer products. In Search, the technology is being used to generate a custom user interface in real time as part of answers, and users will be able to build mini-apps while exploring a topic within Search.

Alongside the product announcements, Google revised its subscription tiers. The company introduced a new AI Ultra plan priced at $100, offering five times higher AI limits in Antigravity than the Pro plan. Google also reduced the price of its top AI Ultra plan from $250 to $200, with that tier allowing for 20 times higher limits than the Pro plan. Anthropic and OpenAI have also added both $100- and $200-per-month plans in the last few years, creating tiered systems for users with different AI usage requirements.
