El Paso police arrested a 30-year-old man on charges of manufacture-delivery of cocaine and evading arrest with a vehicle after recovering 74 individually wrapped baggies of cocaine during a traffic stop on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Bryan Delara was taken into custody after officers observed a couple arguing inside a vehicle in South-Central El Paso.

Patrol officers spotted the vehicle at about 3:15 a.m. that morning, according to an El Paso Police Department news release. As officers approached, a woman hurried away from the scene, and Delara put the vehicle in reverse, committing a traffic violation in the officers' presence.

Delara allegedly refused to pull over and tossed a large plastic bag out of the vehicle before eventually stopping at the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Clark Drive, according to the police news release. Officers retrieved the discarded bag and found it contained 74 individually wrapped baggies of cocaine. The details of the incident were released by police spokesman Officer Adrian Cisneros.

Delara faces two charges: manufacture-delivery of cocaine and evading arrest with a vehicle. The cocaine was contained in a single large plastic bag that Delara allegedly discarded from the moving vehicle before he stopped at the Alameda Avenue and Clark Drive intersection, where officers took him into custody.

As of Monday, May 18, 2026, Delara was being held at the El Paso County Jail in Downtown on a total bond of $45,000. No attorney is listed for him.
