CROSBY AREA — Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting at a residence in the 17800 block of Adlong Johnson Road near U.S. 90 in the Crosby area on Sunday evening. A woman believed to be in her 20s was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound, and a family member was detained at the scene, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Deputies arrived at the residence following a call for service. Upon arrival, they discovered the woman with an apparent gunshot wound. The family member who was present at the home was taken into custody at the scene.
