Eleven journalists from across the country join the ProPublica Investigative Editor Training Program.
The ProPublica Investigative Editor Training Program was established in 2023.
The program has trained more than 31 journalists to date.
The program begins with a five-day intensive editing boot camp in New York with courses and panel discussions led by ProPublica’s senior editors.
Participants in the program are assigned a ProPublica senior editor as a mentor for advice on their work and careers.
Alumni of the program continue to work in newsrooms such as The Boston Globe, KQED, The Texas Tribune, ESPN and ProPublica.
More than 130 journalists applied for a spot in the 2026 cohort of the program.
