HOLT — Two Holt men were killed and a 28-year-old Lansing man was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash on US 127 near Interstate 96 early Sunday morning, according to the Ingham County Sheriff's Office. The crash occurred at about 3:10 a.m. on May 17, when a vehicle driven by the Lansing man traveling northbound on US 127 went off the road where the freeway crosses I-96.

Both men killed in the crash were 39 years old, the sheriff's office said. The driver was transported to a Lansing area hospital, where he remained in critical condition. Northbound and southbound lanes of US 127 were shut down while deputies investigated the crash and have since reopened.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Ingham Regional Crash Investigation Team, personnel from the Lansing Township police department, the Michigan State University police department, the East Lansing police department, and Michigan State Police. The sheriff's office said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
