San Antonio police arrested a 42-year-old man Friday evening on suspicion of attempted robbery at the 5100 block of West Avenue. Officers were called to the location around 7:40 p.m. for a reported robbery.

The suspect approached the victim and got into an argument with him, according to police. He then threatened the victim and demanded his possessions.

The victim left the location and went inside a building to wait for police to arrive. The suspect repeatedly struck the window of the building as the victim waited for officers to respond.

The suspect was booked for robbery of an individual following the incident. Police did not release the suspect's name. The arrest was made Friday evening after officers arrived at the West Avenue location and located the suspect. No additional suspects were named in connection with the incident, according to police. The victim was not reported to have been injured during the confrontation, though police did not provide further details on the condition of those involved.
