SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is seeking public information in a homicide investigation after a woman was found dead inside a white van in San Antonio. Krystle Janay Proctor, 37, who had been missing since April 27, 2026, was discovered deceased in the back of the vehicle.
The sheriff's office received a missing person report for Proctor on May 7 at about 10:11 a.m. Her known vehicle, a white Ford E-250 van bearing Texas license plate TXR4158, was later found in the 8800 block of Cinnamon Creek in San Antonio.
Proctor's body was located in the rear of the van. The sheriff's office identified the vehicle as central to its investigation and released the license plate number in an appeal for tips from the public.
Investigators also identified a person of interest in connection with the case. A subject wearing a green long-sleeve shirt, blue pants and a red head covering was seen possibly being associated with Proctor. The sheriff's office has not released additional identifying information about the subject.
The sheriff's office asked anyone who saw the white Ford E-250 van with license plate TXR4158, or the subject wearing a green long-sleeve shirt, blue pants and a red head covering, during the period between April 27, 2026 and May 5, 2026 to come forward with information. Proctor had been missing for more than a week before the missing person report was filed on May 7, 2026. Her body was found in the back of the van at the Cinnamon Creek location after the report was received.
