WASHINGTON D.C. — President Donald Trump posted more than 50 times on Truth Social in less than three hours after 10 p.m. Eastern time Sunday night, continuing into Monday morning. The series of posts included insults directed at political figures, altered images and remarks aimed at foreign governments.

Trump accused former President Barack Obama of plotting a coup against him and called Obama the "most DEMONIC FORCE" in American politics. He shared altered images of Obama, former President Joe Biden and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the Lincoln Memorial's reflecting pool with the caption "Dumacrats love sewage." In a separate post addressing renovations at the site, Trump described the reflecting pool work as "a deeply complicated work of smart and beautiful construction."

Trump also revived material from past political disputes, posting about Hillary Clinton's emails and making claims of a stolen election that referenced Dominion voting machines, Georgia ballots and a video of lawyer Sidney Powell. He posted about adding his own image to the $100 bill. The 79-year-old president also wrote that a major newspaper is "one of the worst newspapers anywhere in the World, and is losing subscribers on an hourly basis."

Religious imagery appeared among the posts. Trump reposted an altered image of himself depicted as Jesus, and later said he believed the figure in the image was a doctor. He also called the pope "weak on crime."

In a post on Easter, Trump demanded Iran open the Strait of Hormuz, using profanity and warning Iranian leaders they would be living in hell, before concluding with "Praise be to Allah."

After-hours posting sessions on Truth Social have become a feature of Trump's second term in the White House. Under the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, the vice president and cabinet may remove a president from office if he is deemed unable to discharge the powers and duties of the presidency.
