NEW YORK, NY — The NFL will stage nine international games in eight stadiums across seven cities on four continents during the 2026 season, the most games outside the United States in league history. The slate spans Melbourne, Mexico City, London, Paris, Munich, Rio de Janeiro and Madrid.

The season will open on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, with the San Francisco 49ers facing the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, a game that will take place on Friday morning local time. The 49ers will be the road team in that matchup.

The Dallas Cowboys will host the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro on Sept. 27, 2026, in a Week 3 late afternoon game on CBS. The Washington Commanders will host the Indianapolis Colts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 4, 2026.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will play consecutive home games abroad for the first time, hosting the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 11, 2026, and the Houston Texans in Week 6 at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 18, 2026. Three of the 2026 international games will be held in London.

The New Orleans Saints will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first NFL game in Paris in Week 7 on Oct. 25, 2026. The Atlanta Falcons will host the Cincinnati Bengals in Madrid on Nov. 8, 2026, and the Detroit Lions will host the New England Patriots in Munich on Nov. 15, 2026.

The 49ers will return overseas in Week 11, serving as the home team for a Sunday night game on Nov. 22, 2026, in Mexico City against the Minnesota Vikings. Last season, the Vikings played the league's first international multi-city road trip, with a game in Dublin in Week 4 and a game in London in Week 5, serving as the road team in both contests. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has said his goal is to reach 16 international games per season.
