CHATTANOOGA — Urban Story Ventures and Venu Holding Corporation plan to develop a $300 million riverfront amphitheater in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a seating capacity of 12,500. The venue, to be named Sunset Amphitheater Chattanooga, will be built at The Bend, a development site located at the former Alstom property along Riverfront Parkway.

The partnership is contingent upon the successful completion of public-private partnership incentives currently under negotiation at The Bend. Venu Holding Corporation builds live entertainment and hospitality destinations across the United States.

Once completed, the amphitheater will be one of the largest live entertainment venues in Tennessee, surpassing Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville. It will be Chattanooga's first multi-seasonal live entertainment venue and is expected to expand the city's ability to attract major touring acts and large-scale events year-round. Chattanooga's indoor live entertainment venues currently have capacities up to around 3,800.

The facility will feature a canopied roof that allows it to function as both a partially enclosed and open-air venue. Plans include traditional bowl seating, lawn seating, and premium spaces such as Elevated Owners Clubs and Luxe FireSuites.

Jimmy White, president and managing partner of Urban Story Ventures, said: "This is a transformational moment for Chattanooga and for the Bend. Our venue will be Chattanooga's first open-air venue of huge scale, with a capacity of 12,500, more than doubling what the city currently offers."

White said the Luxe FireSuites offer intimate seating around a central fire pit, dedicated in-suite hospitality, and private suite sightlines, and are designed for fans, corporate partners, and investors seeking a stake in the live experience.

White projected the project would generate more than $4.2 billion in direct and indirect regional economic impact, supporting tourism growth, job creation, hospitality expansion, and long-term investment throughout Chattanooga and the surrounding region.
