INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA — Katy Perry will perform at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on June 12 before the first 2026 FIFA World Cup match in the United States. The performance precedes the United States' opening game against Paraguay at the venue.

Rappers Future, LISA, Tyla, singer Anitta, and singer/rapper Rema will also perform at the opening ceremony before the United States plays Paraguay at SoFi Stadium. DJ Sanjoy will be part of the same ceremony.

FIFA announced the entertainment acts for the opening ceremonies before the initial matches in the United States, Mexico, and Canada for the expanded 48-nation tournament. The opening ceremonies are scheduled to begin 90 minutes before kickoff.

"This opening ceremony in Los Angeles represents the extraordinary scale of what the FIFA World Cup 2026 will become. The lineup of artists reflects the cultural diversity of the United States and the vibrancy of its many diasporas, highlighting the nation's rich influence on music, entertainment and pop culture, while showcasing the power of music to bring people together across the country," FIFA President Gianni Infantino said.

The 2026 tournament marks the first time FIFA has featured multiple opening ceremonies across different countries for a single edition. Host cities in the United States will include Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York/New Jersey.

SoFi Stadium, which opened in 2020, is located in Inglewood, California, and serves as the home stadium for the NFL's Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. The venue has a seating capacity of approximately 70,000, with the ability to expand for major events. The United States is one of three host nations for the 2026 tournament, alongside Mexico and Canada, marking the first time three countries have co-hosted a FIFA World Cup.
