DOVER, TENN. — Law enforcement in Dover, Tennessee, ended a multi-day manhunt on Wednesday when officers located the body of Craig Berry, 53, who had been accused of shooting his wife earlier this month. According to the Stewart County Sheriff's Office, initial indications show Berry died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Berry, a special forces veteran, was accused of shooting his wife in a domestic dispute during the early hours of May 1. Following the shooting accusation, a multi-agency search was conducted to locate him.

During the search, a blurry trail camera video appearing to be Berry's last known sighting was recorded. The footage was among the materials reviewed by investigators as the search extended over several days.

The multi-agency search involved law enforcement from multiple jurisdictions working to locate Berry following the May 1 accusation. Investigators reviewed available evidence, including the trail camera footage, as the manhunt continued.

The manhunt concluded Wednesday when law enforcement located Berry's body in Dover. The Stewart County Sheriff's Office indicated that the initial determination of a self-inflicted gunshot wound was preliminary.
