EDMOND, OKLAHOMA — At least 10 people were taken to hospitals after a shooting at a gathering near Arcadia Lake in Edmond, Oklahoma, at around 9 p.m. on May 3, 2026, police said. Authorities received multiple reports of shots fired at a party involving a large group of young people by the lake, about 13 miles north of Oklahoma City.

State highway patrol, city police, and fire officials responded to the scene after the calls came in. Victims were reported to be in various conditions, and police said the number of injured may increase as the investigation continues.

Nine of the patients were taken to Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City and three were taken to Integris Health Edmond Hospital, a hospital system spokesperson said. The patients were all still being assessed late Sunday night.

No arrests had been made late Sunday. Police set up a reunification center for families at a local Walmart and said there was no threat to the public.

"This is obviously a very terrifying situation and we understand the concern from the public and those involved and we are working extremely hard to find the suspects," police spokesperson Emily Ward said. She said investigators had fanned out across the region to gather information. "We're kind of all over the metro speaking with victims and witnesses," Ward said.

Arcadia Lake is an artificial reservoir used for flood control and is a popular place for picnicking, camping, fishing, boating, and water sports. The lake sits in the Oklahoma City suburb of Edmond, which has about 100,000 residents. Edmond is located about 13 miles north of Oklahoma City.
