LOS ANGELES — One Battle After Another won the Academy Award for Best Picture at the 98th Academy Awards ceremony on March 15, 2026. The ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The film competed against nine other nominees for Best Picture: Bugonia, Frankenstein, F1, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, Sinners, and Train Dreams.

One Battle After Another by Paul Thomas Anderson also won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Conan O'Brien hosted the Academy Awards ceremony for a second consecutive year, having previously hosted in 2025. Matt Berry served as the announcer for the ceremony.

The ceremony was broadcast live on ABC stations in the United States, beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time and 4 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. The broadcast was available to stream live on Hulu, and on ABC.com and the ABC app for viewers with a connected TV provider, and was carried by YouTube TV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV.

In the United Kingdom, the ceremony was broadcast on ITV, with red carpet coverage starting at 22:15 GMT and the ceremony beginning at 23:00 GMT. The ceremony was also available to stream the next day on ABC.com and Hulu.

The 2026 Academy Awards was the 98th annual ceremony.
