SINGAPORE — Zuber Mohammed left TikTok in March 2026 as part of a new round of cuts to its global marketing organization. TikTok appointed Mohammed as its global head of consumer marketing in late 2024.

In that consumer marketing role, Mohammed oversaw brand and creative marketing efforts at TikTok. In the same position, he also oversaw product marketing and user communications.

Mohammed reported to Zenia Mucha, TikTok's global communications head. He was based in Singapore during his time at TikTok.

Before joining TikTok, Mohammed held marketing-related roles at Google, McKinsey & Company, and Razer.

Other marketing leaders also left TikTok in March 2026. Sofia Hernandez left her role as TikTok's global head of business marketing and commercial partnerships in March 2026, and Rema Vasan left her role as head of business marketing in North America at TikTok in March 2026.

In a separate departure earlier in 2026, Kim Farrell left TikTok in January 2026 from her position as global head of creators, during a reorganization of the content division.

As of March 2026, TikTok's advertising and marketing staff remained under ByteDance's oversight. TikTok is expected to generate $18 billion in U.S. advertising revenue in 2026, according to an estimate from eMarketer.
