CHATTANOOGA — Jacqueline Myree was sentenced on Friday to 10 years in federal prison for her role in a series of armed robberies at Chattanooga-area stores. Myree, 52, appeared before Judge Charles Atchley after pleading guilty to robbery and two counts of aiding and abetting robbery.

Co-defendant Jeffery Sparks brandished a gun during two of the robberies and has been charged in federal court. The robberies took place over several days in October 2024.

The first holdup occurred on October 11, 2024, at the Tienda Super Guate at 2012 E. Main St., where Myree wore a green wig. When the cash register was opened, Myree shoved the clerk out of the way, took money from the cash drawer and took the keys to the store.

On October 17, 2024, Myree and Sparks robbed the Tienda Super Latin at 1811 Dodds Ave. Both wore masks, and Sparks carried a silver handgun. Sparks demanded money from a clerk and struck the clerk with his fist. The pair took money from the cash register and took the clerk's purse.

Later that same day, Myree and Sparks robbed the El Huerto Tienda & Fruteria at 3710 Rossville Blvd. Both wore masks, and the clerk handed over money from the cash register.

At the sentencing hearing, Atchley told Myree, "A robbery can turn into a homicide in half a second." He also said that being subjected to a robbery is a terrible experience for a store clerk.

Atchley also commented on Myree's criminal history. "Ms. Myree's criminal record is 'pretty terrible' with over 20 prior charges," he said.
