NASHVILLE — Toyota has reintroduced the Camry Nightshade Edition for the 2026 model year, building the trim on the SE grade and using the automaker's hybrid-only platform. The 2026 Camry Nightshade carries a manufacturer's suggested retail price of about $38,519.

The exterior features deep Midnight Black Metallic accents, with blacked-out treatment applied to the front grille, air curtains, side canards, mirror caps, door handles, antenna, rear diffuser and rear spoiler. The trim rides on unique 19-inch satin black-finished alloy wheels and includes a single exhaust system with dual chrome tips.

The 2026 Camry Nightshade AWD seats five passengers. The cabin is fitted with Sport Fabric and SofTex-trimmed seats, an 8-way power driver seat with lumbar support, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a soft leather-trimmed steering wheel and shifter. A 7-inch digital gauge cluster sits ahead of the driver, and an 8-inch Toyota multimedia audio system with six speakers is mounted in the center stack.

Power comes from Toyota's fifth-generation hybrid system, which pairs a 2.5-liter inline-four gasoline engine with electric motor-generators. The Nightshade Edition has all-wheel drive and a sport-tuned suspension. Fuel economy is rated at 46 mpg in the city and 46 mpg on the highway.

The Camry Nightshade uses an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, which is standard across all 2026 Camry hybrid models. The transmission adjusts continuously to keep the engine at its most efficient power output and delivers gearless acceleration without traditional shifting. It provides a steady, quiet ride.

Driver-assistance equipment includes Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 with pre-collision technology and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection uses radar and camera sensors to detect vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, and can automatically apply the brakes if needed.
