EASTERN DISTRICT OF NORTH CAROLINA — Lorrayne Mavromatis filed a federal lawsuit in the Eastern District of North Carolina against Mr. Beast Youtube LLC and Gamechanger 24/7, alleging sexual harassment and wrongful termination, according to court filings. The suit seeks monetary damages to be determined by a jury.
According to court filings, Mavromatis was hired by Mr. Beast Youtube LLC in 2022 as head of Instagram and was promoted twice between 2022 and 2024, eventually becoming chief operating officer of the Verticals division, where she managed a team of 20 people. The company is associated with Jimmy Donaldson, who is known online as MrBeast.
The lawsuit alleges that Mavromatis experienced sexual harassment during her employment and was wrongfully terminated following her return from parental leave. Court filings state that after she filed a sexual harassment complaint and became pregnant, she was demoted and terminated in November. The lawsuit also describes the work environment at MrBeast's companies as a "boys club" and alleges that female employees were excluded from all-male meetings.
"I really want to use my voice to bring awareness … we're in 2026 and things like this are still happening," Mavromatis said in a media interview.
A company spokesperson rejected the allegations. "The suit is based on deliberate misrepresentations and categorically false statements," the spokesperson said. "There is extensive evidence — including Slack and WhatsApp messages, company documents, and witness testimony — that unequivocally refutes her claims."
The spokesperson said Mavromatis was not fired and that her role was eliminated alongside others during a company-wide restructuring. "We will not submit to opportunistic lawyers looking to manufacture a payday from us," the spokesperson said.
In 2024, a third-party legal probe found that sexual misconduct allegations against Mr. Beast Youtube LLC were baseless. Also in 2024, contestants from season one of the Amazon Prime show "Beast Games" sued Donaldson, accusing the production company and Amazon of unsafe working conditions.
