NEW YORK — The Trump Organization completed eight foreign business deals in the first year and a few months of President Donald Trump's second presidential term, marking the fastest overseas expansion for the family real estate business since its founding about a century ago. During Trump's first term, the company completed no business deals in foreign countries.

The agreements have generated tens of millions of dollars in fees for the Trump Organization. The projects span multiple countries and include golf clubs, resorts, and villas across the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Among the foreign deals, a Trump-branded golf club and villa project in Qatar is being developed partly by a company owned by the Qatari government. In Saudi Arabia, a planned Trump Plaza resort along the Red Sea is being constructed by a Saudi real estate developer affiliated with the kingdom's ruling family. In Vietnam, a Trump resort deal was signed off on by the country's deputy prime minister at a formal ceremony.

The Trump Organization has a self-imposed rule prohibiting direct business dealings with foreign governments. Several of the company's overseas projects, however, involve development partners with connections to foreign governments or ruling families.
