NEW YORK CITY — Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is set to launch a publishing imprint called Tucker Carlson Books as part of U.S.-based publisher Skyhorse. The imprint's initial slate of titles includes books by Russell Brand and Milo Yiannopoulos.
"Most people don't read books anymore because they're too absorbed in all the other available media," Carlson said of the new publishing venture. The first titles announced under the imprint are How to Become a Christian in Seven Days by Brand and Ex Gay by Yiannopoulos.
Brand, a former BBC radio host who became an online influencer, is facing criminal charges in the United Kingdom. The charges against him include three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and one count of indecent assault. Brand has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
Yiannopoulos had a previous book deal terminated when Simon & Schuster canceled publication of his title Dangerous after footage surfaced showing him making comments that appeared to condone sex between adult men and underage boys. Yiannopoulos denied endorsing child abuse and said the video in question had been selectively edited.
Skyhorse, which was launched in 2006, describes itself on its website as one of the fastest-growing independent book publishers in the United States. The company is distributed by Simon & Schuster and has previously published Apropos of Nothing by Woody Allen and The Real Anthony Fauci by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The publisher operates multiple imprints beyond the new Carlson venture, including Good Books and War Room Books. War Room Books published Time to Get Tough by Donald Trump in 2024.
