LONDON — Cate Blanchett received an acting nomination at the 50th Olivier Awards in London for her portrayal of a vain actor in Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull." Bryan Cranston also earned an acting nomination for his performance as a troubled patriarch in Arthur Miller's "All My Sons."

Other acting nominees at the 50th Olivier Awards included Rosamund Pike, Tom Hiddleston, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Paapa Essiedu. In the musical categories, James Hameed and Arti Shah received a joint nomination for Best Actor in a Musical for playing the titular marmalade-loving Peruvian bear in "Paddington: The Musical."
