CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. — Bryan Sixto Arias-Chicas was sentenced to 156 months in federal prison on Sunday. Dania Orellana-Gamez received a 48-month sentence.

Arias-Chicas pled guilty in July 2026 to the production of child sexual abuse material. Orellana-Gamez pled guilty in July 2026 to witness tampering.

In February 2026, Orellana-Gamez contacted the victim via Facebook Messenger. Quintero was charged in January 2026 with repeated sexual exploitation of a minor and assaulting a federal law enforcement officer, with his trial set for later in 2026.

"Arias-Chicas took part in a remarkably brutal assault of a young girl," said HSI Washington, D.C., Acting Special Agent in Charge Kai Wah Chan. First Assistant United States Attorney Robert Tracci said the office would use all available tools to seek accountability against those who sexually exploit minors. "We will also seek swift and certain justice against those who seek to subvert justice through witness tampering or others means," he said.

Why It Matters

Arias-Chicas was previously convicted in state court for having sex with a 14-year-old victim.
