CHATHAM, MASSACHUSETTS — Braden Peters, known online as Clavicular, was charged with rape, drugging someone for sexual intercourse, and procuring liquor for someone under 21. The Orleans District Court in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, set an arraignment for Oct. 14.

Mendoza told police she did not consent to the sexual intercourse and remained silent because she was in shock. She did not receive a sexual assault forensic exam after the encounter.

Police attempted to contact Peters multiple times regarding the allegations, but he did not contact authorities as of August 30, 2026. Peters has not been physically served with an arrest warrant as of September 2026.

Peters posted on X denying the allegations and sharing content from Mendoza. "Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit? Seriously.. really petty of you," he wrote in a post on X.

Mitchell Jackson, Peters' representative, stated that The Bulwark was exaggerating the status of the case. Mendoza filed a civil lawsuit against Peters in Miami-Dade County, Florida, in April 2026.

The civil lawsuit alleges that Peters injected Mendoza with Aqualyx, a fat-dissolving substance not approved by the FDA, without her consent during a livestream in November 2025. She alleged that Peters paid her $1,000 to make four 'looksmaxxing' videos.

Peters filed a motion to dismiss several counts of the civil lawsuit in July 2026. Peters and two other people were charged in April 2026 in Florida with shooting at an alligator.

Peters pleaded no contest to unlawfully discharging a firearm in public and was sentenced to six months of probation and 20 hours of community service. Peters was arrested in March 2026 in Florida on battery charges relating to an alleged altercation between his girlfriend and another woman.

Mendoza alleged that she and Peters livestreamed on Twitch while drinking alcohol. She told police she fell asleep in Peters' bed and woke up the next morning to Peters having sex with her.
