INDIANAPOLIS — Marion County Superior Court Judge James B. Osborn vacated the jury trial for Mark Sanchez and scheduled a hearing for November 9 to review his guilty plea after Sanchez filed to plead guilty to charges stemming from a violent altercation in Indianapolis. Judge James B. Osborn has not yet accepted Sanchez's guilty plea.

Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said this incident should never have happened and that what began as a disagreement between a 38-year-old former professional athlete and a 69-year-old man should not have escalated into violence or left anyone seriously injured.

Attorney Matt Golitko said the parties have had constructive and professional conversations, the discussions have been productive, and they are on a positive path toward an agreement that will allow the parties to move forward. He added that Mr. Tole appreciates the progress achieved and looks forward to an amicable resolution.
