The recall covers brushes sold between June 2009 and March 2026. These items were available at Walmart, Burlington, TJ Maxx, and Ross, as well as online via Amazon and Cuisinart’s website. The recall includes models sold individually and those bundled in grill-tool sets.

Small metal wire bristles can detach from the brushes and stick to grills or food. Ingested metal bristles can cause serious internal injuries requiring surgery. Conair is aware of at least 54 reports of bristles detaching. Three individuals required medical treatment to remove swallowed metal bristles from their throat or digestive tract.

Consumers must discard the brush as no repair option is offered. Refund options include a cash refund or a credit to Cuisinart.com worth the refund amount plus 20 percent. Consumers can contact Conair at 888-520-1304 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET for a refund.
