LOS ANGELES COUNTY — The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner certified the cause and manner of Brandon Clarke's death on August 7, 2026. The department determined that Clarke died from the effects of heroin and cocaine and ruled the manner of death an accident.

The medical examiner identified the combined effects of multiple prescription medications as a significant contributing condition to Clarke's death. The department did not disclose the specific prescription medications Clarke was taking at the time of his death.

Clarke was found unresponsive in his bedroom at approximately 5 p.m. on May 11, 2026. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 5:15 p.m. on the same day at a home in the San Fernando Valley.

Drug paraphernalia was found at the residence where Clarke died. A deputy medical examiner examined Clarke at the department's Forensic Science Center on May 12, 2026.
