FRESNO, CALIFORNIA — Jeffrey Vernon Michaels is charged with the murder of Tatyana McIntyre after turning himself in to police on Thursday evening. Authorities set his bail at $1 million following his arrest and booking into the Fresno County Jail.

Detectives found McIntyre's body with several lacerations at a home in southeast Fresno on August 6, 2026. The victim, also known as Tatyana "Alison" Riley, was last seen on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

McIntyre went to Michaels' home to visit their two children on the day she disappeared. Her family became concerned when she failed to pick up her daughter from school on Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators located McIntyre's car in an orchard near McKinley Avenue and Academy Avenue on Tuesday night. Surveillance video shows McIntyre's Fiat being followed by a white truck allegedly belonging to Michaels.

The house where McIntyre's body was found is located on Grove Avenue in Fresno. Records show the property is owned by Jeffrey Vernon Michaels.
